Where to Get a Screen Protector Installed
Putting a screen protector on your phone is a great idea to extend the life of your device. The best screen protectors are made of tempered glass, but there are also plastic options available. They’re all designed to protect your phone’s screen from scratches, debris, and even cracking or shattering from a fall.
That all sounds well and good, but sometimes installing a screen protector can be tricky. Aligning the protector perfectly over the screen can be fiddly, especially when you’re struggling with a very sticky adhesive sheet of glass.
That’s not to mention those pesky air bubbles that inevitably form, turning your beautiful glossy display into a bumpy topographic map that often won’t even register finger-presses.
Not to worry. We’ve got a few tips on where to get a screen protector installed perfectly so you can get back to the things you really love doing with your phone.
4 Screen Protector Installation Options
1. Just do it yourself with a screen protector installation kit
Although it may not be obvious from the state of many screen protector kits out there, it is indeed possible to install a screen protector yourself and come out with a beautiful, bubble-free result.
Some protector kits, like our line of ZeroDamage Tempered Glass Screen Protectors, come bundled with specialized tools that greatly ease the installation process. Every Protection Kit includes an adhesive preparation sticker, which is a sticky sticker that covers the entire screen. When lifted off, it takes off every minuscule speck of dust with it!
We also include a unique installation frame, which temporarily snaps onto your device. It’s designed to guide the screen protector perfectly into position. Once affixed, any bubbles can be pressed out quickly and safely with the included squeegee tool. Although it may be tempting, a finger or pen is not a good tool for this task, as the screen protector could be inadvertently scratched or repositioned.
SaharaCase’s Protection Kits prove that it’s not only possible, but quite simple, to install your screen protector from your home, office, or wherever you happen to be! However, if you find yourself with a different brand of protector, or you’re simply unable to do the installation yourself, there are still other options on where to get a screen protector installed.
Do screen protectors actually work? There are many types of screen protectors that can protect your phone screen and enhance your user experience, like privacy screen protectors. Find the best screen protector for your phone on SaharaCase.
2. Head down to the mall for installation
You’ve probably seen those phone accessory kiosks at the mall, and maybe even purchased your screen protector there. What you might not know is that most of them also do screen protector installations, sometimes even free of charge!
Simply bring your phone and screen protector to the kiosk, and they’ll do the hard work for you! Some even use a special machine to get the protector perfectly aligned and bubble-free. Even without a machine, a kiosk is a safe bet because the person behind the counter is usually pretty handy and experienced with the installation.
3. Best Buy may be your Best Bet
Similar to a mall kiosk, Best Buy also performs pitch-perfect screen protector installations. Although the protector should be purchased from them (don’t worry, SaharaCase is available), they should be able to do any installation for a small fee.
4. Head over to the Apple Store (if you’ve got an iPhone)
Apple stores also do screen protector installations with a specialized process that removes dust and perfectly aligns and affix a protector using a special machine. Keep in mind that Apple will only do this for iPhones, but it’s a great option for anyone with an Apple product!
